Our story begins here...


Relax GH-Wings Airlines Limited Company operating as Relax GH-Wings is a Ghanaian Scheduled / Non- Scheduled Domestic, Regional (Africa) and International Air Passenger & Cargo Services Airline. The company has an Air Carriers Licence (ACL No. NS0215) and Air Operators Certificate (AOC No. 028) which authorises it to operate regular flights within Ghana, and connecting regional and intra-continental


The company intends to introduce regional flights to Lagos, Abuja, Freetown, Abidjan, Liberia, Gambia, Senegal, etc. within a year of starting up the domestic route, and in the next three years, introduce intercontinental routes to London-Heathrow, Rome-Italy, Germany-Hamburg via Dusseldorf, North America via Canada and also connect to the Gulf countries via Dubai World Central (Al Maktoum International Airport). The company is also open to code-sharing negotiations with other reputable airline companies for some of its routes.




VISION

GH-Wings intends to be the preferred airline carrier in Ghana, and across the African continent. This will be achieved in collaboration with major players in the industry and will aim at offering seamless travel experiences for clients. GH-Wings will grow profitability for its shareholders with smart partnerships and pioneer new destinations through its extensive network.

MISSION

GH-Wings aims at responding to market opportunities using the latest technological developments in both operating equipment and reservation systems, and thus offering customers a unique and dynamic experience. The company’s employees will work to provide innovative products for customers and a safe and efficient service-oriented operation with a proactive focus on sustainability. It will strive to achieve profitable growth that will contribute to both its own corporate aims and also support the economic and social development of the country. GH-Wings will work to make domestic and regional air travel affordable to everybody and hence give as many Ghanaians as possible the experience of comfort and safety of air travel.

Board of Directors

 

Mr. Palmer Wesley-Quaison, Executive Chairman

Samuel has experience in Business Development. He was the Managing Director and a shareholder of a Ghanaian owned DWG-G Company Limited in the United Kingdom until he took over Fly540 Ghana. This has equipped him with an extensive experience in business and administration, and has exposed him to major challenges and opportunities in various sectors of the aviation industry. His focus on strategy has over the years delivered profit-focused operational improvements within airline, travel and marketing industries, and further contributed to individual skills development, team dynamics and bottomline performance. Mr. Wesley-Quaison brings on board his experiences in other companies and his social capital (contacts) to improve the fortunes of Relax GH-Wings.

Mr. Frederick Osei Taylor, Executive Director

Frederick brings with him extensive experience garnered over three decades of working in the aviation industry. He was instrumental in establishing most of Ghana Airways’ leading stations in Germany, Johannesburg, New York, Baltimore, Beirut and Dubai. He was a member of the project team which ensured Kotoka International Airport’s upgrade to US FAA Category 1 Status in 1996, and further served as the Ghana Airways Regional Manager for Germany from 1987 to 1993 – negotiating strategic alliances with renowned airlines such as KLM, South African Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, etc. Frederick also has extensive knowledge of the domestic route in Ghana having worked with some of the domestic airlines over a commendable period.

Capt. Edwin Reed Harlley, Executive Director

Capt. Harlley is a licensed pilot with over forty years of experience in the industry. He has a wide knowledge and technical experience of aircrafts that include the ATR series, the Embraer and DC-10 series among others. He has worked in several countries across the world including Ghana, United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, Mali and Iran. He brings on board his in-depth experience in flight operations and fleet management.

Ms. Hannah Roberts-Blankson, Executive Director

Ms. Roberts-Blankson is a Cabin Services Manager and trainer with over thirty years of experience in the aviation industry. A founding member of Fly540 Ghana. She is a well sought-after trainer at the Ghana Civil Aviation Training Academy (GATA) and also a visiting lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. Her wealth of knowledge in Cabin Services management and training is in line with the strategy of the airline and would prove indispensable to Relax GH-Wings as it begins operations.

Mr. Kenneth Kwawukume, Executive Director

Mr Kenneth Kwawukume is a former Deputy Director, Air Traffic Services of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). He is currently consulting to the GCAA on the decoupling of the Air Traffic Control from the main administration block. His tenure brought immeasurable progress and development to Air Traffic Services of the GCAA. Prior to his retirement, he was a member of the 5-member committee that was set up to investigate the causes that led to an Allied Air Cargo plane that crashed shortly after take-off at the KIA. He was among a committee that investigated a Starbow Flight S9110 incident at the Tamale Airport in October 2015.

Eng. Prince Bismark Boateng, Executive Director

Mr Boateng retired as a Director and an engineer par excellence from the Air Traffic Services of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority. He is currently consulting for the GCAA on a number of projects aimed at bringing up the standards of the GCAA in line with international best practices.

Mr. Victor Kwawukume, Executive Director

Mr Victor Kwawukume has 20 years’ experience in the Communications, Public Relations and the Media industry. He has worked for the past 18 years as a Journalist with vast experience in covering the President of the Republic of Ghana and is well connected to the international community. With his professional development in International Relations and Diplomacy, he brings on board, a professional face to engaging with the publics of the institution as well as its external relations in a knowledgeable and professionally engaging manner.
